My Approach

Therapy with me is both reflective and practical. In sessions, we talk through what’s happening in your life, explore patterns that feel stuck, and build tools you can use outside of therapy. I pay close attention to the connection between emotions and the nervous system, helping you understand why you might feel overwhelmed, shut down, or on edge at times.

You’ll learn simple, body-based and mindfulness skills to help navigate stress, intense emotions, and feel steadier in your body. We might practice grounding techniques, breathing exercises, or coping strategies drawn from somatic therapy, DBT, and mindfulness.

Alongside these tools, we gently explore your past and present experiences, including early relationships and attachment patterns- to better understand where certain ways of coping began. We may also notice different “parts” of you that learned to protect or adapt over time, meeting each with curiosity and compassion. The goal is not just insight, but real-life change, so you leave sessions with both deeper understanding and practical support.

My practice is neurodiversity-affirming and flexible. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and I adapt our work to different learning styles, sensory needs, and ways of processing. Whether you prefer talking things through, slowing down into the body, using visuals, or learning concrete skills, we’ll find approaches that feel supportive and accessible for you.
